She had grown up with a magical array of comics thanks to her brothers and thought a majority of her enemies were nothing but stories. Then again, she used to believe she was human when she was little and even believed in Santa Claus. Now, there was a Cheetah woman in their room, a Bat they had to fight eventually, and a crazy chemist to deal with all in the next 48 hours. She sank deeper into her covers and covered her head with the pillow, letting out a short frustrated scream muffled into the pillow. “I suppose I’ll just sleep on the floor then,” said Cheetah, assuming she was still their prisoner until she held up her end of the bargain. It was better than being tied up, however, and she set to work on cleaning her own wound as Nyt fell asleep rather quickly, her adrenaline leaving her drained. Once Cheetah finished patching her shoulder blade, she motioned over at Edwina. “Mind sparing a pillow for me?” she asked with a toothy grin. She set a clean towel down so she could lay on top of it, not wanting to touch the questionable carpet. She waited for Edwina to throw her a pillow before she settled in more comfortably and groaned slightly when her injured shoulder blade touched the flat surface. It wasn’t the worst stabbing she had received, but definitely uncalled for, she decided. She realized she was lucky to have the other woman there to keep the alien in check and made a note to thank her for her kindness later, after they all made off with their share of gains.
