I was previously unaware of this, but apparently some people get incredibly butthurt over the use of BCE/CE rather than BC/AD. I'm not sure why. Some people use the culture/tradition argument, but if we changed them to anything else, nothing would change except that some different initialisms would be said in different contexts. As an atheist, very confused as to how two two-letter initialisms are a part of American culture.
