ANGEL

Angel is the mysterious owner of the drugstore and guardian of Rodrigo and Ethan. He took both boys in, a year apart from each other, and housed and fed them, eventually giving them jobs at his drugstore and also side missions. He is strange and sometimes comes off as 'other-worldly' and manages to be any and everywhere, even in places you don't want him. He is very protective of Ethan and Rodrigo, despite the dangerous missions he sends them on, and treats them as if they were his sons. His true line of business if kept secret from them, aswell as his true identity.

Not only is he the owner of the town's main drugstore, he also has a special "in-the-know" side business. He fulfills the wishes of his clients as long as it's within his power to do so (which it usually is), but at the high price of their souls. After granting them their wish, he will extract their souls through a kiss and leave only a small amount left that will serve as a temporary one that will last the rest of their life. This temporary soul is not as strong or powerful as the original, but will allow them to feel the basic human emotion, but nothing more. Also, after giving up their soul, when it comes time for that person to die, they won't move on to the afterlife and simply die forever. Depending on the severity of the wish,he will take their entire soul as compensation and leave them an empty shell of what they once were. In even bigger cases, like life and death, he will completely consume the person's heart and soul and take their life as a price. He isn't entirely honest about the consequences sometimes and tends to leave that little fact out, but if the client asks, he will truthfully tell them the whole deal.

The reason behind Angel's soul collecting is for his King. He was created by a group of wizards on an alternate planet to protect their King. He served as his bodyguard for a long time until the King got sick and began losing his magical power. The Inventors, scientists of that world, discovered that the souls of humans on Earth could be used to generate magic power, but were very hard to obtain. A soul couldn't be gained through killing or stealing, but through consent. The human had to sign their soul over to allow it to be taken, and that served as a problem to the wizards. Angel was sent to Earth as an experiment so see if humans were gullible to sell their soul, and with the reputation of his King on the line, Angel tried his best. After observing humans for months, he came to conclusion that they were materialistic and could be easily swayed with promises of riches and gold. He took on the human name 'Angel' and joined a gang of travelling humans known as a 'carneval'. They would set up their machines and fair games in an open field and other humans would pay money to see it. Angel set up his own attraction were he posed as a magician that could pull live animals and other objects from his sleeves and the humans went crazy. But this wouldn't get him any souls so he became a fortune teller instead. He would ask the humans what it was that they desired the most and how far they were willing to go to get that. His first client was a young man who had lost his leg some human war and his wish was to have it back again. Angel asked how far he was willing to go to get it back, the man replied with "Anything! Anything at all!" and Angel knew he was set. Recreating a human leg was easier than he thought ((recreating limbs on Wiz was much more difficult)) and he granted the man his wish, and received his soul in exchange. In the following months, Angel collected enough souls to return to his home planet and offer them to the King. He thought his job was done when the souls restored the King's magic to him, but the illness was much worse than originally thought and all the magic was drained after a week. Angel was sent back to Earth to collect souls and has been doing it since then.

He settled down in a city and bought a small drugstore from an old couple who were retiring. On the outside it posed as a normal drugstore but it's true purpose was for him to have a place people could find him if they wanted their wishes granted. He still returned to WIz at the end of every month to deliver his earnings and also serve as the Protector, or bodyguard, to the King's third son, Prince Bellerophon. When it became too much for him to be running back and forth, Angel created small magical beings that resembled cats, called Nyankos, to go out and collect souls for him. It made it a lot easier for him and it became [i]alot[/i] more easier after Rodrigo and Ethan showed up.

Now, Angel wasn't one to be taking in every stranger who needed help, but Rodrigo and Ethan were different. He was created purely of magical energy so it is easy for him to detect other magical things, or people who have magic within them and as soon as he met the two boys, he knew that they were special. But the only magical things on Earth came for Wiz as far as he knew ((and sometimes Michael)) so it was best to keep them close and see where they came from. Of course, he never expected to form emotional attachments to either of them but somehow it ended up happening. He now uses them to fulfill the wishes of his clients that he's too lazy, or too busy, to do himself. [/center]
