Also because of her past, she can be very laidback despite the traumas she has experienced. She doesn’t let much get to her and may seem utterly careless and a little flippant to those that don’t know her but this is entirely a coping mechanism for Svetlana and no one is really aware of this truly.

She is a creative person and thinks of various different ways and means of doing everything and anything to save from life being too mundane. She also has a crass way of speaking and can make even a sailor blush from time to time.

[b][color=2F4F4F]Your First Walker Encounter:[/color][/b] Having spent the last two weeks on a very nice large yacht with her current scam target, Svetlana and company were arriving back to the docks when they encountered their first Walker. One of the bartenders from the yacht were helping her with the bags and were moving them onto the dock when he was suddenly attacked by someone that then tore his throat right out. Stunned by the spectacle of violence, Svetlana did the only logical thing she could think of and she reeled the walkway back into the yacht to stop anyone or anything getting on board. The yacht quickly set sail after that and made for another, more private, dock. She wasn’t even aware of what was wrong with the person that tore out the bartender’s throat until she listened to the radio later that day.
[b][color=2F4F4F]History Before Outbreak:[/color][/b] Svetlana was born in Saint Petersburg in Russia to a very well off, noble standing family. Her mother killed herself not long after having Svetlana. Svetlana is the youngest of 9 children that the poor woman had had over her 28 years of life. Svetlana has 8 older brothers that she does not get along with as they made her childhood hell, treating her just like one of the boys and causing her various injuries and harm over the years. Her father is very strict, stern and cold and has nothing but ambition and drive for all of his children. He was 33 when Svetlana was born and despite being young, he acted like he was an elder man that had the entire weight of the world on his shoulders. He expected the utmost perfection from his children and anything less was worthy of punishment.

Throughout her childhood, Svetlana was forced into many lessons that she did not enjoy and so she never excelled in any of these. The only lessons that stuck with her that she took any pleasure in were her violin lessons, acrobatics and gymnastics and her fitness sessions. Two of her most hated lessons were in Show Jumping and Horse Riding. Her father was adamant to push her so hard in these due to how petite that she was. She became a champion show jumper by the time she was 10 and after 2 years of rigorous training and fighting to keep the title, Svetlana had enough and ran away from home at the age of 13.

She stole enough money from her father to at least make it to Moscow. She knew that even though it was a highly populated area, it would be harder to find her there. She soon found out how hard it was to live on the streets and almost died before Olga found her. Olga was an elderly woman that was the mother to one of the criminal undergrounds leaders. This was how Svetlana got her start in the crime world. She was trained on how to pick pockets, how to handle knives, how to handle herself when she doesn’t have or loses her weapon and how to deal with security systems and how best to break and enter into places. Honestly, it is a lot of things that she never imagined herself doing and yet she has found that she loves it all.

Further to these studies, she discovered that she was very good at acting and has grown into a very capable scam artist. Her underworld connections allowed her to get counterfeit paperwork created and it has helped her and her bosses to rake in the money. Plus, pretending to be someone else when she is out and about in the world makes it even less likely that her father would be able to find her easily. It’s a win/win situation really.

Time moves forward and Svetlana is tasked with going to America to help set up connections and establish bases with a few others. As her paperwork is entirely counterfeit, Svetlana is living in America illegally and if anyone finds out and reports her, she could be deported – if they can catch her. In her time in America, Svetlana has worked with both Spanish and Chinese mafia groups. Her interactions with these groups has allowed her to become semi-fluent in the languages while dealing with them.

She has lived in almost every state and city that you can imagine as she never settles in one place for very long. This also means she has no major ties to anyone in the world and could always easily bounce from one place to another when the need came around. Little did Svetlana know, this trait would be an entirely important one in just a short time to come.
[b][color=2F4F4F]History Since Outbreak:[/color][/b] Svetlana lived the life of luxury for the first year of the outbreak. The yacht she was on had plenty of supplies and plenty of people that were more than happy to do her bidding. She was a queen among the weary and worried and that was exactly how she liked it. Life was good despite the world going to shit but then, her world had always been shit so this was nothing new.

However, it was not to last as some scoundrel pirate like people who also thought it was their claim to be called Queen of the Seven Seas decided to attack their yacht. Her group unfortunately lost and she played the part of a weeping widow well as she cried over the deceased body of one of the former guards. She was taken into the new group under the guise of pity and all was fine for a time longer. Granted she was no longer the Queen but at least she was alive and being taken care of. Her ability to speak other languages played a great part as she feigned not knowing English and was able to determine many secrets among this group which she used to her advantage.

Pretty soon the group were at each other’s throats and the infighting thus began. Svetlana loved the fact that she didn’t have to lift a finger, it was all to her liking and it was perfect. Soon the structure of the place began to collapse and Svetlana found an opening to take off and try to find someone more stable, literally, on land. She was sick of the sea. Sick of the sloshing, splashing noises and the smell of the salt in the air and oh god her skin was NOT thanking her for all the sun exposure either. No, she had to find something more permanent. (At least this is how Svetlana likes to tell the story of her first eighteen months in the apocalypse as the truth is not something she shares freely.)

After hijacking one of the rafts, Svetlana took all she could carry and needed to survive and took off into the main land and began her trek off of the high seas. She was unprepared for the disaster that was awaiting her on the mainland and more than once she had to flee for her life. She was alone for months before she encountered her first living person again. 

A man named Hyde, a former detective, happened upon her path and the two threatened to kill each other if the other came too close. It was a friendship waiting to happen. Hyde helped Svetlana to learn how to forage on the land, how to purify the murky water from the rivers and how to bandage and care for wounds of varying degrees. 

Hyde moved from place to place and took Svetlana with him. Some places were good, others not so good but anytime things went South, the two of them left together and had each other’s backs. That was until they became separated. Svetlana doesn’t like to talk about this part as it upsets her. Four months on the road after their separation and Svetlana has not seen another living human being.

She is wandering around Georgia and looking for… something to put her faith in again.
