Rayn kept her face forward but she could definitely see Carter wave her over through her dark lenses. Her cheeks flushed rose and she felt nervous. She took a step forward knowing it would be rude not to join them, but suddenly Maven approached her stiffly. Rayn, because of her power, hardly noticed the noises around her unless she wanted to. Maven, however, was obviously bothered by it and Rayn instinctively placed a hand on her shoulder worriedly. When she collected herself she pointed out the motorcycle and Rayn managed a small smile of relief. Maven continued to share with her about when she went to the river. Rayn reflected in her memory remembering the river herself. It was one of the most quiet places to go in Undaro, and was one of her favorites. She nodded simply about to open her mouth to say something back when Maven flew back pressing herself harshly against the building. Rayn's eyebrows furrowed her first thought was that maven was taken back by her presence, but that was ridiculous. She looked behind her to see a car fly down the road in the distance. Rayn was certain that must of spooked Maven, and she stifled a light laugh. She finally stepped into the circle breaking her shell of being alone. She closed her eyes creating a sound block around the group so the noises around them weren't so loud and distracting, or in Mavens case, frightening. "Is that better?" The first words she had spoken to anyone and she hardly realized it. Her voice was silky and calm, her father always urged her to talk more just to hear her pretty voice. Maven again didn't take into account that she hadn't been the most talkative or involved with them socially, and they might be suprised to hear her. It wouldn't shock her if they thought she was mute or deaf, the people that didn't know her when she was younger definitely thought this about her. It never bothered her of course because then she didn't have to face her nerves. She kept her eyes fixed on Maven, she seemed embarrassed of her affliction so she tried her best to make her feel better about it.
