I am honestly curious how we go from Lorelai asking Fei for a chance to speak with Eleonor first and give the woman a brief pep talk to bolster her spirits before she confronted her daughter could spiral so far from the original intent. Lorelai isn't even in the room! She was knocking on the door to see if Eleonor would even want to talk, only for Solanne and Axon to barge right through and brow beat the poor woman.

It's kind of hilarious, and sad for poor Eleonor being besieged on all side :3
