The question is this...

Taking into account the rules and guidelines on powerplay, metagaming, Godmodding and Autoing [url=http://rsroleplay.wikia.com/wiki/Common_Rules_of_Roleplay][Link to understanding the Terms][/url], how would a player successfully write this scenario out? It's always been a little bit of a concern as I don't want to step on anyone's toes but occasionally these kind of situations come up and I know I have difficulty resolving them correctly.

The easiest answer will be to Collab, but in this situation let's assume that it's not an option.
