A concern was brought up in terms of the students' privacy since the surveillance videos are becoming a big part of the roleplay now.
I want to say that the modified school policy, ever since the schools joined together, states that in more public areas like the Mayweather Dorm hallways, the library (minus the private study rooms), the Control Room, school buildings, NOT your characters' bedrooms, NOT the bathrooms, have cams planted in them. You will be capable of seeing the cameras, so it's not like your character won't be unaware of their existence. That being said, it's obvious that Mayweather students were more aware that cameras were a thing over the Delphina students since right now four Delphina students are meeting with the Head Warden. To justify that, we can say that they didn't read the school policy, which makes sense since they are transitioning to a new environment and Gianna, in particular, has many things on her mind like the fire and her plans for Mayweather. The cameras in the stimulation rooms and arena are more hidden since those videos are more for faculty and staff to study their students and their abilities. Surveillance wasn't that big of a thing until the schools joined. Prior to the fire, there were crappy cams and not as many. The school wants to make sure students do not kill each other but ALSO because your character is a hero or a villain you can attract dangerous people from the outside world that can bring harm to you and your colleagues. For example, Cara's connection to gang members. Protection is vital when people have the power to kill each other. THAT BEING SAID. All cams have blind spots and even if it is highly advanced technology, with a little bit of creativity, you can work around them. Or, you can do what Eliana and Jessica did before they wrecked Lucas' bedroom. Throw something at the camera, breaking it. #Reckless
