Whelp I'll chuck a OOC and the like out considering the interest and all. 

[@Crosswire] Well I was kinda thinking that R&D would take a backburner on this Rp. There would probably be some scientists still around, but I think the focus would be on making life more survivable rather than say finding out what's smaller than the Higgs Boson. 

Also I chose Louisiana because it was a place name that is common in both French and American history. People like to name new places after old places (I.E = York + New York, South Wales + New South Wales, Cambridge UK + Cambridge NZ) I don't see why people in the future would be any different.
