One Week Beforehand... Ken sat silently alongside the rest of his knights and his master in the room. He had been wary of the verdict. War would cost them much, and many lives. The jedi were protectors though and the galaxy may have need of them. However Ken knew better. They could be used in other ways. Lives could be saved on dead worlds. Refugees aided with the help of the force or by the hilt of a lightsaber. Knights could be sent to ward away marauders and thugs attempting to pick apart the remnants of planets decimated. They didn't need to stoop to war in order to save people. They didn't need too fight the mandalorians in order too protect the weakened peoples of the universe. The jedi were protectors of the light, saviors to the needy, and defenders of justice and democracy. They were no generals. They were not commandos. They did not seek war. It sickened him that there were a good number of jedi who AGREED with this whole sentiment of war. That was why when Zhar had stood up and spoken to the vast majority of the jedi on Dantooine that Ken had felt relief. But that girl....that god damn padawan...of course she had to open her mouth. She had started to preach to everyone and everything. Ken, for the first time in his life, had to restrain himself from pulling his saber from it's place on his belt and ignite it. This dumb girl would have them all dead and destroyed to satisfy her anger!? Her blood lust!? That was the mark of a hot headed rogue, and a dark jedi! This couldn't stand he would-Ken felt the firm grasp of a hand on his shoulder and he looked down to see one of his fellow knight grip him firmly. The knight shook her head and Ken backed down and let the heated discussion continue and the more he listened the more he wanted to scream out that she was wrong. After the knight Alek had joined he had known for certain where his true path laid before him. It was clear as day and night where his true allegiance laid. He had remained seated and refused to move before the rest of them had left. And when the council started to talk Master Org Gle rose and told Ken to follow him. He had something for Ken too do. Ken felt a deep despair in his gut and he knew where this would be going. He looked back as he walked away. Hoping the mission wasn't what he expected. ==== Two Weeks Later on Coruscant The return home for the young jedi knight...or former knight was something he expected more from. He was no longer a jedi. No longer a protector, and no longer a healer. He was now a soldier enrolled in a cause of righteous proportions...it sickened him to the core to call himself a possible captain for the Republic. A soldier was not what he was born to be, and a hero to the Republic? He never wanted to be remembered for his actions. His only wish in life was to help other to protect those who needed to be protected. Now he wielded his white blade and aimed it in order to take the lives of a bunch of bastards. Not because he wanted too but because he needed to do so. A calmer head was needed in the midst of this chaotic storm. He stood with these children and he looked at them staring in awe of the girl, the padawan called Aria...and he called her a false prophet inwardly. But outwardly he would easily call her a protector and true jedi. If only because he must...He had discarded his jedi robes for something more suitable for his position. A commoner's clothes. He had kept his gear that he had used when he called himself a jedi however and his belt still was heavy with the hilt of his curved hilted saber. He knew for better or worse this group may decide the fate of this 'war' the mandalorians had called for.
