His question about why they hadn't killed Wallace left her a bit uneasy, recalling her own encounter from that morning. The crazed blonde could have easily finished Cecily off--but for some reason, she chose not to. Biting her lip, Cecily pondered why an evidence obsessed criminal would let the coroner live. "Maybe they didn't want to draw too much attention to themselves," Cecily suggested. Tank's theory about sending a message sounded a bit far fetched. That was something that happened in Dexter and Batman: The Animated Series. It wasn't something that happened in real life to coroners. However, when her eyes fell back on Wallace, she saw him blink once. She nearly jumped out of her seat, trying to recall all of the Twenty Questions strategies she used on her brother growing up. Before she could ask another a question, though, Wallace passed out. Typical. She sighed a bit, once again frustrated with him. Though, come to think of it, Cecily couldn't recall a time where she wasn't vexed by Wallace. "Get me a mini frappucino, vanilla bean, while you're at it!" Cecily called out to Gleason as he left. She pouted a bit, realizing that the cop hadn't heard her. Her grumbling stomach needed something to digest, something beyond the intricate complexities of a murder mystery. About to ask Tank about when his pizza would be arriving, Cecily eyed the notepad. Her exasperation vanished, and instantly, Cecily went to work. Starting with Wallace, she found something strange hooked up to the pain med drip. Biting her lip, she realized that she couldn't touch the thing, without it killing him. The only way to remove it would be to remove his drip entirely. Hoping that Wallace was too far gone to notice the added pain, Cecily removed the drip entirely as methodically and carefully as she could. Letting out a sigh of relief once the pain med drip had been removed, Cecily eyed the vial closely. Some sort of toxin, Cecily concluded. The vial was still attached to the tube and Cecily held it up, motioning for Gregory to take a look at it. She touched only the tube, avoiding any contact with the vial. It would be rather hard to get any fingerprints off of it, but it was still possible. They had some more extreme methods, ones that she could perform back at the crime lab in order to get a partial print. It involved toxic fumes, and once completed, left behind a purple print. But suspecting that whoever did this meant business, Cecily doubted there'd be any prints left on it. Not all surfaces were decent for lifting prints from.
