Katherin felt the magic before Charles appeared. She wasn't sure how she felt about the boy yet. He made her nervous. He could kill her without hestitating. She didn't want to give him any reason to think it was necessary. She didn't like feeling venerable. But it wasn't a new feeling for her. As an orphan it wad one she had felt often.
