Well damn, I hope everything turns out ok. (Even though I don't understand Cricket at ALL.) You should definitely go see a doctor as soon as possible, it's much better than letting it get worse. Take care of the problem before it gets much worse!
.... I hate doctors but. I don't like being touched by other people XD Also super expensive....and I'm broke. I have health cover for my back at least, I see a Chiro every six weeks or so for it. I tore a muscle/ligament in it playing hockey last season so there isn't a great deal he can do, but it helps with relief (most of the pain isn't even in that region. I'm healed from that incident, just regular back pain from standing too long, being born into a family with a bad back history, etc.). I'm just super lazy and don't do my 'homework' (stretches) to help with my hamstring. The knee is my biggest concern. It feels different when I rub it, the rub the right knee. Not sure what it is, but my sister said it felt different as well. I hope it's just swelling, but swelling would've gone down in 4 weeks surely?
