Hello everyone, Believe it or not, I'm looking to do a 'slice of life' role play set in the time of high school. I really don't do this often but for some reason, I just feel the desire to do it today! Anyway basic rules - Each post must be 2 plus paragraphs. Try to post once a week. Can't get more basic than that, I'm done. Seriously, that's it, that's all. -laughs- Anyway I currently have a set of brothers and I'm working on some female characters as well. For the boys I do have a specific style of person I'm thinking they should be paired with. So the idea for Atsuma is that the popular girl who came from a rich family in school hates him, finds him annoying and gets stuck in classes with him. Until her car breaks down one day and her father pays for her to take it to the best mechanic shop in town. And it turns out to be his. So not only does she have to put up with him and his attitude she now has to rely on him to fix her car, unfortunately the problem it's a simple one which causes her to be without a vehicle for some time and guess who gets obligated by his father to give her rides to and from school at the least, you guess it! Personality Traits: Sarcastic and somewhat rude. Atsuma is blunt and honest when it comes to situations and isn’t afraid to call someone out. He does have a temper and it shows but his reactions tend to be loud and over-the-top causing more attention than he had originally expected. Little Background: Atsuma has been working under a car since he was able to carry his father a wrench and has been a grease-monkey ever since. Despite his poor attitude he gets fairly good grades in school and there is no surprise his best grades come out of shop class. His cocky and arrogant ways leads him to believe he can do anything and so far, his drive has yet to prove him wrong. Now as he inches towards graduating, he hopes to continue to work with his father and learn as much about being a mechanic.
My idea for Kento revolves around a girl (doesn't really matter who she is in high school she just has to be there) being the first to ever express that she liked his eyes, and from that point on they build a friendship.
Age: 17 Occupation: Library assistant at the town’s local library. Personality Traits: Kind hearted and gentle in his actions. Kento is social to some degree but not many people like to speak to him. Good at holding a conversation and gives decent advice compared to his siblings. Little Background: Kento is the middle child of his three siblings and is the only one with the different color eyes. His parents were incredibly superstitious and believed that his different colors of eyes were a bad omen. This didn’t cause them from treating him like their own son but he didn’t receive the same treatment as his older brother and lives under far more restrictions than his younger brother. His parents hesitated putting him into public school and were highly considering sending him to private school or having him do his schooling online. But to the insistent of his younger brother, they caved and let Kento go to public school. It wasn’t a surprise that he was bullied because he looked different but it did introducing him to his passionate love of books and now he desires to become a writer.
So my idea for Rayne can involve a 'Mary-Sue' style character (please don't go overboard though I don't want someone's character crying every 5 seconds because her life is horrible). Mainly the 'Mary-Sue' I'm referring to a young woman in need of new accommodations. Considering he'd probably be a popular boy in school, maybe an unpopular girl he decides to look out for. Her parents either; got in a really bad fight and she decided to leave. Died recently and has no were else go or something along those lines. Please don't make her have an incurable cancer or something that drastic. But I was thinking after running into her at school, he could be throwing away trash after closing up the coffee shop and finds her sleeping out back. (Haven't decided what the mom does for a living yet but it would be safe to assume the boys come from a family one the wealthy end. -smiles-)
Age: 16 Occupation: Coffee shop worker. Personality Traits: Charming, fun and excitable. Rayne always looks for the best in everything and everyone in order to find the most in life. He keeps a positive outlook on like and, well everything, to the point that it annoys his eldest brother. Despite his annoyance to his eldest brother, he loves his siblings and his family dearly. If there’s ever a cloud in the sky, Rayne would never know because he was always looking for the sun. Little Background: Rayne should really have the youngest child syndrome because his parents never say no to him. No matter the situation. But he doesn’t. he does use it to the advantage in assisting his siblings in order to get things they wanted which is how Kento ended up going to public school. Rayne is a good kid though and works hard at his job. He makes some of the best coffee in town at the local coffee joint and actually has a desire to become a bartender. Never one to turn a pretty girl in need down, Rayne is the lady’s man of the siblings and knows how to ‘wine and dine’ a woman. While he’s not the ‘player’ kind of guy, he’s also not one to settle down either. But he is loyal to a fault and if someone can keep him entertained enough, he is a truly dedicated boyfriend. If, being the key word.
