Model: OS Type 2 "Rook" (??? Specification) Specialty: Mass Production General Purpose Skirmisher HFV History: ??? Appearance: At a height of 18.5m, the ???'s space variant of the standard OS Type 2 is slightly taller and bulkier, but still remains faithful to the 'walking tank' aesthetic of the United States' mainstay HFV. It is definitely more heavily armoured than the original Rook, but despite the fact it is actually incredibly mobile, possessing a number of multi-directional thrusters across its body, as well as four powerful accelerators on its legs, allowing it to match modern machines quite easily at the cost of greater power consumption. It retains the two large shoulder shields (now increased in size), although they are more rounded in comparison to those of the original. Certain models also possess extra weapon hardpoints on their forearms. Features:

Long range sensors
Detachable shoulder shield (x2)
Beam-treated heavy armour
Bazooka autoloading backpack
Armaments:

550mm Missile Launcher (x1): A bazooka that fires 550mm caliber missiles. It uses a double barrel type of magazine that can hold up to ten missiles at a time. The rear barrel can be adjusted via a slide based on the range of the target and the ammunition type currently used. The weapon is reloaded from a backpack mounted autoloader that can hold up to 50 missiles before needing a reload.
DyPW Variable Beam Rifle (x1): A beam rifle with two settings - powerful, single-shot bursts and a rapid-fire mode with lower power.
90mm Linear Railgun Rifle (x1): A weapon that fires high-speed projectiles.
80mm Forearm Gatling Gun
Beam Saber (x2)
Weaknesses: Although this variant of the standard Rook is incredibly fast and mobile, capable of matching modern machines, its operating time has suffered as a result. It is essentially a skirmisher unit, one built more for hit-and-run attacks (hence its use by a pirate advance force), and while in possession of beam-treated heavy armour, will be a sitting duck the moment its power runs out. It has no recharge racks for its beam sabers either, and its beam rifles feed off its power generator, thus ensuring greater ammo dependency for the machine. It also can't function in atmosphere. At all.
