Was there after involved in numerous hunting parties, and several guilds, though was either removed forcibly or left on her own accord as she was deemed 'uncomfortable to work with' due to her serious work ethics and lack of appreciation for jokes. (Jokes that were played on her, that is.) Currently she is looking for a new monster hunting team, having traveled from the grand city all the way to Delion to look for some small time group she could join, and make better. Hopefully make better. Probably not.
Personality:
Siloratan is a serious individual, having spent a long time as a royal guard and that time mostly being spent on duty. She doesn't take well to jokes - at least, when she's at the butt of them - because they are possibly moments were focus can lapse, and an enemy can exploit that weakness. Although this is much less true for hunting a monster, the trait transferred over to her monster hunting traits too. Although her serious demeanor can be switched up with a more friendly one, she will typically still remain somewhat formal. This is in part due to being expected to talk to the royal family with a degree of respect, as well as the fact as that her family was noble as well. Speaking on that, she actually still acts like someone of noble blood. The way she walks, talks and essentially carries herself certainly indicate such a thing, being most graceful in all situations, as well as being respectful, kind and caring, and having a good ear for gossip that could be good for her cause. Her age also have given her plenty of time to learn about the world, and one might find that her knowledge extends much further than one would assume.
History:
Siloratan's life history is quite long as one might expect from someone who is 134. Furthermore her family name is a name that already shows up quite often. As such one would have to take a look at her family first. The Caumanandë family is quite large, currently counting over two hundred familymembers that are alive and well. There are approximately fifty Caumanandë family members in the crypts who have been turned immortal through means of necromancy, their body being powered by strange casting devices strapped over their hears, and infused with an ancient Eldran magic that only the Eldran seem to be capable of. They have earned a name for this practice, since the Caumanandë are the only ones that seem to still use this magic for necromancy. However it is hard to get rid of such traditional practices, as one might understand. Only the greatest of the family earn such a privilege, being able to live forever in their crypts, which resemble throne rooms more than anything. The Caumanandë family has multiple estates all spread throughout the lands, some in remote places that resemble naught more than a small watchtower to watch for monsters and then a tavern with a small castle-keep to house any noble guests. These are often used as hunting stops for weary travelers, who gratefully use the Caumanandë families hospitality. Others, like Etrusien-valaris which is the 'capital' of the Caumanandë family, are large and resemble true castles, complete with guards, maids and cooks, and even stables. They are something akin to small villages, though they are not nearly as modern as the greater cities with modern equipment. It's very rare to find a mechanic for prowlers in these castles, since the Caumanandë still use the ancient tradition of riding to battle on a mount. [sub]Etrusien-valaris, the capital castle of the family where Siloratan grew up herself.[/sub] The Caumanandë family earns something of a prestigious name for their involvement with the crown: they are capable advisors on the matters of magic due to the Eldran heritage they have, and furthermore, are capable military advisors. On the matter of culture they are able to offer an insightful eye too, though their traditional mindset often gets shunned for not being modern enough. They also have a long history of offering the crown their services as royal guard, forming a long line of bodyguards. Siloratan herself was born as the fourth daughter of the lord Caumanandë, being the twelfth child in total in the family of the lord, her lady, Siloratan's six brothers and three sisters. Over the last 134 years, there were about five more siblings added to the list. However in her childhood, she grew up with eleven sisters and brothers. It was hectic, but good fun, she supposed. Most their time was spent with the maids since their parents had little time to take care of the children themselves, and so Siloratan never grew too attached to the two she called father and mother. Her childhood was spent honing the magic skills she did not possess. It was discovered early on that she had little aptitude for the magical side of her Eldran heritage, a stark contrast to her sisters and brothers, whom were more or less all magically gifted. Her father, whom was ill-concerned with the well being of his daughter, and had no real connection with her, decided that at the age of fourteen she was to be trained with the sword instead. She was then raised like a male heir would be - though she was not an heir at all - and learned the art of the sword, horse riding and later the riding of tamed monsters. She quickly discovered that this was where her gift laid, being quick to master both arts, and even taking on some hawkery on the side, learning to hunt with a small bird-of-prey at first, before quickly rising through the rank and learning to control larger beasts that could hunt small sized pack-monsters on their own. At the age of 24, which was.. very very young for a Eldran, she decided to join the Royal Guard. Her father seemed satisfied, her mother didn't care much, and her siblings wished her the best. Her place had already been taken by two more girls, whom she barely knew due to her busy schedule with practice and other obligations. She was assigned to guarding a young princess due to her fathers position at court, which was a good job, relaxing for sure. She fulfilled this job for thirty more years, growing up steadily and going from looking like a fourteen year old human girl, to looking at least 18. This helped get rid of some of the doubts about her talents at least, and she would continue to grow. [sub]The royal city, a city filled with mostly noblemen and women, whom are also mostly of royal blood and thus related to the king in some way or form.[/sub] At the eldran age of 54 the accident occured, as she had been switched to a new princess to protect. This young princess was particularly explorative and wandered high and far with little care for her own health. One day, she wandered under a ladder right as it fell down, injuring her badly, leaving her with an eye missing as well as paralyzing her from the hip down. Although there was outrage, the king and queen pardoned Siloratan, recognizing her service as a great duty. However the condition was that she was to drop her job as a royal guard, for it was unacceptable for her to ever work for the crown again in an official position. She accepted, not wishing to disgrace herself or her family more, and resigned, and wandered for a few years before finding her next purpose. She got licensed to hunt monsters, again sparking some outrage since she used both a giant hawk, as well as a monster as mount. Monsters were supposed to be hunted, not to be ridden, but she made it work and got licensed quite easily, both due to her fame/infamy and skill with the blade. From then on she was a hunter, which was a job that was perhaps slightly more interesting than being a royal guard, which was comparatively more dull. She wandered for a while on her own, taking minor jobs that were easy for a single person, slowly getting more experienced until she received a letter from a courier inviting her to take part in a hunt with a hunting party. She accepted, curious about how it worked, and hunted with the party. An enjoyable pleasure even if it lasted shortly, since she split with the group after they decided to head to far away lands to chase bigger prey. She wanted to remain sort of close to home, even if she wasn't precisely welcome there. She quickly joined up with more parties, constantly staying with them for a while and then splitting, before she was invited to a guild. That was her first taste of organized hunting, a true professional style - she understood it better and liked it more, and hung around for a while. It got to the point where she became a partyleader, and was allowed to lead her own hunts. The one gripe she had was that people were wary of her trusty mount, and the airship wasn't exactly accommodating to her mount, which didn't like to fly, being a land creature after all. She repeated the process, splitting with them and finding a new guild. She did that a few more times, but grew tired every time, leaving them and hanging around somewhere until she'd get invited - becoming a bit of a celebrity in the process due to her involvement in some high profile hunts as well as being involved with some of the best guilds out there. It wouldn't surprise her if people knew her name, where ever she traveled. Of course, that makes a person slightly arrogant.
Skills and Abilities:
Siloratan is not particularily skilled in magic as one would have come to expect from an Eldran, but she makes up for it with superb Ki mastery. She is able to use her Ki for numerous standard applications, such as:
Enhancing the cutting power of her sword. Increasing her physical strength. Increasing her flexibility, jumping power, and resistance to physical blows. Delivering blasts of Ki energy. Increasing her reflexes, perception and charisma.
However their true Ki mastery lies in the ability to use it consistently and without dropping their guard a single moment. They not only have a large pool of Ki, but it requires little to no concentration to use it to begin with, allowing her to use it in the moment without having to stop, going from one movement to the next.
Equipment:
A standard steel sword, tempered with the usage of magic from Eldran origins, making it near impossible to break. It's sharpness is incredible if well maintained, and can cut through most monsters hide, and even cleave into bone if used with Ki! That's not to say she can cut bone in half on larger monsters, but for some small monsters it's possible. The blade itself is of little importance and seems to be made by a human smith, and then enchanted by the Eldran themselves. The sheath of the blade however is decorated with the finest ivory from the monsters, as it had been made by a top craftsman to show the wealth of the family.
