Well there was certainly some implied baiting involved since Jeremiah pretty much instantly recognized Fanilly as the Captain. So I still think Julianna's point stands somewhat as being an ambush, even if it might have been unintentional that Fanilly was one of the few separated from the army. Well the joys of ambiguity make everything more complicated and while Jeremiah may have been caught by surprise he still had the presence of mind to order a very well thought out strategy to catch some knights off guard. Certainly one of those things which can be seen from a few different points of view, which after all is the main point I suppose.
