While dagger and sword is a viable tactic to my knowledge, I think it wouldn't be suited for a sailor Nord - in real life it was more of a fancy dueling thing, it'd fit a Breton. And two-handed swords had lotsa cool shit going for them, so you can still be a real CQC mofo with them.
