Samantha didn't even notice the fact that Julian had looked at her at the mention of Samuel, she was to busy trying to keep her temper in check. Her eyes were focused on Aren, not on the fact that Julian had gotten up from his chair, and stood behind her. It wasn't until he spoke up about staying up with her and spilting the class with her, that she actually turned her head to look at him. "Yes, that sounds like it would work." She said her tone still harsh, her words coming out quickly. Though the anger her felt wasn't meant towards him but at Aren not telling her that her scrumbag ex that almost ruined her life just to be a asshole, was out of his cage. She felt Julian's hands rubbing her shoulders as she voiced her anger, rather loudly, about not being told. But how dare he not tell her that he was out! The council had put her on trial. She had spent almost a whole year terrifed that she would pulled back infront of the council when they said she was innocent. Aren had even been there when they came to her door and pulled her out of her room, crying. It wasn't a unusual thing for Samuel to be gone for periods of time, however it still threw her off sometimes. The two of them had only been dating for a year and though she sometimes traveled with him, she simply didn't even bother asking if he wanted her to go this time. After all this was kind of a big deal for her! Samuel had actually been a little bit of an ass for not wanting to stay with her and going off to do whatever the fuck he did instead of at least waiting until she had to leave for the year. She had waited for weeks before getting the news back that she was accepted for Coexistence teacher at the school she had attended when she was younger. She would never do anything to blow this chance. Yet he couldn't even push back his stuff for a little while? Although the headmaster she had when she was going had stepped down and been replaced, she rather liked Aren. He was really relaxed and easy to talk to unlike most of the other teachers, he had helped her greatly, even with getting used to managing the races that she would have to for the job. After all there needed to be someone to help the races that didn't have a head teacher, though it made her want to pull her hair a little. It had only been a few months since she had started though so it had to get easier. Right? It was around midnight as Samantha was finishing up grading the group assignments from her class, when a pounding knock came to her door and she checked her clock before shaking her head. It was rather late to be helping her students and she hated to simply turn them away but she was just to tried to give advice this late at night. Though when she opened the she was surprised to see Aren, another mage, and a Hell Knight at her door instead, and she gave Aren a confused look before the other mage spoke. "Samantha Kane, you are being called before the council." The woman said her voice very formal and slightly unemotional. Samantha blinked a little surprised by the news, she had never actually been pulled before the council before, but she couldn't think of what on earth she could have done wrong. "Okay." She answered slowly. "Do I have a moment I was in the middle of grading and..." Samantha said gesturing back towards her desk but was cut off mid question by the mage. "No, we would rather you not Ms. Kane. You are here by under investigation." The mage said reaching forward to grab her arm, but Samantha pulled her arm away from the woman, a cup pushing itself off of her desk as her eyes narrowed at the mage. "Do not grab me. Now I have not done anything wrong, nor would I. If I am under investigation I want to know what the hell you think I have done wrong!" She said angrily, she had been perfectly wiling to go before the woman actually had the nerve to try to man handle her and pull her out of her room. "Do you know Samuel Flint, Ms Kane?" The mage asked her tone lowering but going from formal and emotionless to rude and annoyed. "Yes. He is my boyfriend, though I haven't seen him in months." She answered her tone taking on the rudeness the mage had used towards her. "Ms. Kane, Mr. Flint has been proven to be under the employment Azrael Sanders. He has accused you of not only working with him as well. But of using both Blood and Soul magics. You are being brought before the council for judgement and if proven guilty you well by stripped of your magical gifts." The mage said her tone still quiet though as she talked it turned from rude to almost symphonic. The look of both fear and surprise on Samantha's face said that it was not nearly what she had expected. "So if you please come with us." Samantha didn't move for a moment as the words were so unbelievable that she didn't even feel as if she could move, as if this was a horrible dream. Why? Why would he accuse her of such things? She...she didn't even know how to do soul magic to began with, and she would never chance the possibility of driving herself crazy. This time when the woman grabbed her wrist Kane didn't even fight it her eyes tearing up as she tired to fight the urge to cry, and she looked to Aren and shook her head. "I didn't do it, he's lying." She said her voice trimbling, before looking at the mage walking her out. "He's lying. I don't even know how to do soul magic, I wouldn't drive myself crazy." She said actually crying as the demon opened the door for them. "I'm a good mage, I'd never do this." She said through tears as they pulled her out of the doors. Samantha rolled her eyes frowning at the reason Aren had not told her. "I am perfectly able to do my job when anger Aren. I'm almost always a little angry, I had a right to know when you found out that he is no longer rotting in hell." She retorted with a angry huff, though her tone wasn't as harsh as it had been before. Damn Julian, and his wonderful shoulder rubs that had a way to calm her down whenever she was upset. If it didn't feel so good, it would piss her off almost. When he said something about Samual not being their biggest issue, Samantha let out a sigh and decided to let it drop. Sure he might not been the biggest issue but he was helping the biggest problem. So yes he was an issue and it pissed her the fuck off. She nodded but didn't have a chance to say anything before in response to his approval of their ideas, DeAndro came into the room and she glanced at DeAndro before watching Arens reaction to the letter. She closed her eyes and shook her head at the news of the full blooded angel. Honestly she couldn't agree more with Julian, the demons wouldn't take kindly to this new arrival. It seemed in the angels attempt to level things out, in true full blooded angel fashion, they were fucking it up worse. "For such an almighty race as angels are, you would think they would have enough respect of the annoyance this will cause. That they could send a letter with enough time for you to tell the students." She said after Aren told Harlow to come and see him durning sixth, a sigh coming out her lips after she spoke. Typical angels, missing everything up for what they believed was better. Hearing Julian's mumbles behind her, Samantha turned her head and gave him a soft look patting his hand. "If you need any help watching over them, I'm here. If nothing else you can stop by my class after school hours are over and vent.." She told him giving a reassuring smile, she knew how hard dealing with more than one race could be. It wasn't something Julian usually had to deal with. "I'm assuming that as there are no angel teachers here, I will be advising them? The way my classes are taught do not need to be changed by this arrival, yes?" She said her fingers tapping in a pattern as she frowned thinking. Angels could be tricky if they weren't used to being away from heaven, not as easy to corrupt as merfolk but there was still a chance. "Is there any chance you can have the angel come see me before class? The last thing I want is be the reason someone gets corrupted." -- Jordyn listened as Alex spoke about the reason that humans were useful after she had gotten upset. He had a good point. Almost every race hated humans and the ones that didn't, feed off of them. It didn't keep all the races from hating each other more than they did already. There were likely even times that blaming humans kept there for being more wars. Though still she didn't care for them, they hurt living things that couldn't stand up for themselves in the forest. The things that did stand up for themselves they ganged up on, with their weapons that shoot things into you. She had felt on much those things hurt. However, she didn't want to talk about it anymore, and it seemed to be upsetting him. So she simply nodded her head and started talking about her assignment. Though he still seemed as though he was upset and it ate at her a little until she asked if it was her that did it. When Alex said it wasn't her, she smiled a little bit before he told her that it had been his thoughts that upset him. Giving him a soft look she let go of his hand and reached her hand up letting it rub softly down his arm. An attempt to comft him. It wasn't her strong suit when she didn't know the problem or couldn't fix it. And she wasn't about to try and ask him what it was if it upset him this bad. Alex actually was a great help, the way he explained it was a lot easier to understand than the professor explained it. Surprisingly Jordyn knew a lot less and about hunters than Alex did. She knew that they were out there, and that they were all human. But truely she didn't know that they used weapons that effected non-humans, or how easily they picked up on small things that other races said. It was above her level of class last year. She even took her notes in Faelish to understand them better. Once her assignment was done, she smiled a little as Alex put an arm around her before nodding. "Alright." She said setting her notebook down before looking at him and smiling leaning against him. "That sounds good to me, hmm let me think of what I want to ask first." She said before thinking for a little while, there was actually a bunch of questions she wanted to ask, but the real question was were to start? After a moment she looked back up at him and kind of grinned before pushing him back on the bed softly. "Alright I think I'll start with a easy one then." She said laying down beside him, if they were going to relax and talk, they might as well actually relax. Not to motion it was starting to kill her side sitting up without something behind her. "I know you're favorite drink from last night, and I'm guessing strawberries and s'more are your favorite kinds of food. But what else? Like your favorite type of music, number, season, and things like that?" She asked, and though it was a simple question, those kinds of things actually said something about a person. -- Jackie couldn't help but smile a little bit when Darren said that he didn't want her to worry, though in truth, Darren wasn't the only one that needed to take care of his friends. There was reasons other then how pretty Logan looked on her arm to why she had been dating him. If he wanted to, he could likely take half of her group at least. He just was to stiupid to see it. Jackie shook her head a little. "I know sweety but you're a close friend, its kind of my job." She said smiling a little bit before they started talking about his demons. Jackie nodded her head, but rolled her eyes a little bit at the mention of Justin. "Yeah, I do wish he'd stop starting up flights though. I had better things to do that stepping in because I couldn't find fucking Logan." Poor Darren not being liked just because he was proud of who his father was, it made her not like Harlow. He was always picking on Darren. She pursed her lips and shook her head. "Asshole." Jackie told a moment to think before speaking again. "I know that Logan and one of that fae girl's sisters got detention for that fight." She offered up before telling him that she would cancel any plans that she had tomorrow. The smile she got in response made her rather happy. She would cancel them too, she wasn't lying about it. Jackie always enjoyed being around Darren, it had nothing to do with blood or gifts. Even before she took over her vampire group, she liked talking to him and hanging around him. He was amusing, and could keep a conversion better than half the people at this damn school. Not to mention he wasn't bad to look at. Even though it was for a moment, Jackie saw Darren's flash black at the mention of Garret. Jackie smiled a little at Darren's words before picking up her drink. "Either that or he has a crush on you. You never know, he hangs around with Logan's creepy ass ghost sister." She said before taking a drink. Making a mental note that she needed to bring her rum with her next time. Darren's answer made her happy, it sounded like more fun to go out to hang out, even if it was just out by the lake. Last year they had to hang out in his room most of the year, because she didn't want to ruin his being under the rader. She was sort of a focus with the feud going on. "That sounds great." She said watching his shadow a little bit as it pulled a box out of his closet only to smile as he said he brought her back something. He was so sweet, how many times had she told him that he didn't have to get her birthday gifts? She was horrible at giving gifts. Jackie laughed a little at his words about how easy it was to sucker humans in Mexico as she took the box found him before shaking her head. "Darren, you shouldn't have. You know how horrible I am at gifts." She said before opening it and seeing the Opal earrings, and she made a small noise before sitting the box down and moving quickly to give him a hug and kissing his cheek before moving back to her seat looking at the earrings again. "Their so beautiful. I love them, thank you sweetie." There was no way that she waiting until her birthday the beginning of the month to wear these. Hell she would put them on now if she thought it would match her outfit. That was okay though she would show them off tomorrow when she could show off her pretty new jewelry to everyone. -- Molly smiled and nodded at his thanks and accepted her offer to have brakefast with her in the morning. He was kind of cute being all polite and not wanting to be rude. "Well being here to help you recruiters is part of my job. Plus I kind of like you, so you're welcome." She answered with a small smile. "Just don't tell the others, normally I'd say no before they finished asking." She added after thinking for a moment. She saw him looking up at the symbols above her as she pointed them out. That was one of the benefits of having Billie tutor her. Wards, peace spells, protection spells, luck spells, even one ward she had been taught by the council to protect against blood magic that was actually Elven. Molly nodded her head to his response. "Well if it wakes you up usually touching me shoulder helps." She told him. Which oddly it was true, something about someone else being there seemed to calm her down enough to not whimper out when she had her nightmares. She laughed lightly when he said she was good at pushing buttons. "What can I say I like getting what I want. And anger is one of those things I like to....put to better uses." She said with a smirk. Not to mention she liked power and hadn't realized just how fun dragons or at least half dragons were. "Plus you kind of told me what button to push last night." She added in as she looked back to her homework. Was it a bad thing that it was actually a relief that he couldn't be allured? Though it was mostly because Piper had stolen at least three of Molly's toys from her, and she didn't care to count with Heather. Molly was still listening to him as she finished up ALD and started her working on her history. This was one of the reasons she never did recruit. Other than their allure, and the fact they were a dark race she saw no use in the Sirens whatsoever. He was clearly better at it than she would have been. "Another thing you should know is that Piper wasn't corrupted the same way as Heather. I met her before she was, saw how it happened. Be careful how you approach her." She said as a after thought. With a slight frown she pulled out her notebook and flipped through it before sighing and looking at him. "You're good at this history crap. What caused the second werewolf and vampire war? I don't have it in my notes." -- Logan gave Billie a look of doubt when she said this Sal could make Clary seem like a perv. It was hard to imagine someone that innocent could be at the school in the first place yet stay that innocent while here. Though he guessed it could be possible. Still it had to take some strong morals to stay that way. "Not even going to lie, I'd have to see this guy with my own eyes to believe someone like that exists." He said with a small head shake, though it was true, he just didn't know if he could believe that. He couldn't help but laugh at she response to his answer. "Well I'm not saying that it wouldn't be funny to watch. You trying to catch him to kill him. Though I'm pretty sure Zach could outrun even Storm." He answered back smiling a little bit. Now that would be a bet worth doing too. "Though yeah, you should be good. He isn't involved to the feud. Pretty sure he hates Devin almost as much as you hate Jackie." Logan gave a small laugh as she said something about Darren getting on her nerves. "Whose doesn't he?" After all Darren was the demon that even the demons hated, he was in a lot of ways the demons version of Devin. If it wasn't his way of spinning words he likely wouldn't have ever been leader of the group in the first place. Even the vampires used to get cold chills when they used to have to deal with them....well most of them anyway. After a moment of silence between the two of them he remembered the sweats and tried to get up and walk to the dresser. Almost failing horribly, with Billie laughing her ass off at him. Logan sticking a tongue out at her as he throw the clothes to her. He laughed a little remembering how pissed Garret had gotten about that picture. "I think it was more because the flash made him do the glitchy thing he does. Even though he is really pissed, well he does that its hard not to laugh." Logan said laughing a little bit at the thought and memory of that night, Alex had to pull Garret off before he killed Darren. With a small sigh he nodded his head. "I know it will be great with him back. Its been a little less assholeish without him here to help piss people off." Hearing her giggling behind him, Logan couldn't help but grin, as he stopped himself from looking back to see what she was doing back there. When she gave the okay he turned and looked, before making a comment about good she looked. As she motioned to her chest, his eyes lingered on her chest for a few moments from his place on the bed. "That is very true, your boobs can make anything look hotter." He answered with a smirk, before she laid down beside him. Logan let out a relaxed sigh closing his eyes, before he opened them again quickly, looking at her as she spoke. He chuckled a little nodding his head. "Okay, no reason to drag me, I'll be sure to come. If you want me to invite anyone let me know in the morning." He answered, because he had no doubt that if Billie didn't drag him, Clary would by his ear, through the walls. When Billie rolled on her side he looked at her as Billie said that she would have talked him into being her roommate if Alex wasn't. He gave a soft smile as she kept talking laying her head on his chest. Being roommates with Billie? That didn't sound like it would have been that bad really. The thought of being there when she needed him and vise visa sounded really nice too. "Well if Alex ever moved out, you know where to find me." He said closing his eyes as he wrapped his arm around her. He laid there listening to her calm breath and heartbeat, as her body warmth heating him, he started falling asleep as well.
