[@Kafka Komedy] Or, like, a rifle with a split sword on the end. That's pretty much Pyrrha's weapon, transformation aside, and not necessarily unfeasible as far as welding goes. Hell, if I make her a user of metal and/or magnetism Lapis, she could do that part by herself, and make it appear pretty seamless. Or just straight-up design and craft a weapon that only people skilled in metal Lapis can use, and only she knows how to use properly, given a lack of otherwise-necessary components like a stock, or a trigger. Y'know, taking bespoke optimization to its logical extreme and all that.
