To be fair, when you see blacked out names you can guess them based on a few things.

Just depends on how long it is. Then there's context clues and the usual intelligence analysis. If the black mark looks maybe three letters long and you spend a lot of time around two people named Bob and Michaelangelo, I can guess with a high certainty that you like Bob. If you blacked out Mike's name there, it'd be a lot bigger of a mark.
