The Enemy Shall Fall
"EYES ON ME!" The Rook, despite its magical ability to shield damage in an area the shield was not covering, had made one fatal flaw in it's retreat from the Sword Shroud. The foolish pilot had somehow assumed that The Persian would just let him escape. The moment the Rook began its upward ascent, the Sword Shroud followed in pursuit. The fire from the other machines once more remaining obscured by their rail gun wielding ally. The enemy Rook had made another mistake in its attempt to flee, it had diverted its attention away from the Sword Shroud and towards the Jannah. Those few seconds would prove costly as the Sword Shroud had already closed the distance as the Rook tried to ready its weapon at the 002's head. Which was in and of itself another mistake on the part of the Rook, for the head was far too small of a target to waste it's time on. All The Persian had to do was thrust a little to right to get out of the line of fire while its left hand reached up from below to grab the barrel of the gun. Yet even as it did, the rifle in the right let loose another flurry of bullets aimed at the torso of the enemy Rook. Considering it was highly unlikely the Rook could avoid another grab for the weapon at this range, the only real hope the pilot had of escape was to abandon his weapon. This time the Sword Shroud would have its new toy.
