Nikki saw his back and asked [color=f49ac2]"What happened to your back? It looks like you have been through a war or something." [/color]She pushed him onto his side so she could see better. Softly running her hands over the scars she could imagine the pain he had gone through. After realizing there was more to her new beau than she had realized she pulled him back over and she lay in the crook of his arm and lay her arm over his waist. She put her head up against his chest and listened to the steady beats of his heart. She smiled and hoped that things would get easier than they had been lately. 

Somewhere in the back of her mind Vincent crept into her thoughts and she shuddered involuntarily.
