Specter appears as a translucent apparition that is concealed by a dark cloak. No matter how close you get to Specter's head in this form, it is impossible to see a face past the veil of darkness.  To blend in better with others, Specter will sometimes use the transformation ability to seem less intimidating.

[quote]Invisibility- Specter is only visible to those with extraordinary abilities to see past their current plane of existence. Specter can also make a conscious effort to be seen by those without this ability. 

Transformation- Specter's natural form is shown above in the character appearance. Specter can also shape shift to appear to look like any other living creature. Though, the end result will always be slightly translucent. 

Levitation- Specter can travel at unbelievable speeds as the forces of gravity and friction do not reach his/her plane of existence. Specter rarely has any need to move at such speeds though and instead chooses to hover around at human speeds. 

Intangibility- It actually takes a great deal of concentration for Specter to physically touch something. Otherwise, objects, living or non, pass right through. 

Soul Speech- Specter does not actually posses vocal chords or ears. Instead, Specter listens directly to the thoughts resonating in a persons mind/soul and responds directly to that person's soul. Specter can use this ability to talk to multiple people at once and even act as a link for people to hear each other's thoughts. Specter often creates the illusion of lips moving when transformed to look like a human; this makes people feel more comfortable. Talking out loud to Specter may draw unwanted attention as others may not be able to see or hear him/her. 

Soul Snatch- The ability to take the soul of a deceased life form out of the body and into the afterlife.

[i]Personality:[/i]
Specter does not sleep, like most others existing in the afterlife. One can imagine that being the oldest entity in known existence and never taking a rest has made Specter a bit of a grouch. Grouchiness aside, Specter is always searching for entertainment. Both great acts of good and great acts of evil are interesting to Specter, but not as interesting as the unpredictable moments. That's right, despite being an intangible immortal, Specter is not a future teller.

[i]Biography:[/i]
Specter has been in existence since the dawn of time. His/her origins are unknown to anyone, even himself/herself. Specter's best 'friend' would have to be Death, but Death is usually so busy that the two never see one another. Every once in a while Death will ask Specter for assistance reaping souls when all of his full-time reapers are too busy. Specter does not like reaping souls, but after a few months of reaping, Death usually agrees to a friendly board game or a bit of light conversation about the state of the universe.
