Ken felt slightly nauseous his stomach clenched not with fear, fear was the mind killer to have fear meant to indulge in one's own emotions too much, especially in battle, according to his masters. He was dressed for war this time around before docking he had put on some republic armor, lightweight orange and red with a helmet and visor. He had his hands clenched to a nearby bar too steady himself. His eyes were closed and his breathing was steady. In the force he felt Cathar's pain and he felt the many writhing in agony the suffering being endured by the countless amounts of people dying around him. But he let it go...he let it flow through and out of him. He had to understand the circumstances he would be going into. The battle rage of the mandalorians who were close too victory, the Cathars who feared for their world, and the circumstantial dread faced by the republic soldiers around him. On his belt he had his trustworthy lightsaber always at the ready. It felt...comforting knowing that he had his weapon with him. His stalwart ally, and protector. With it he would defend Cathar and everyone else he could. It wasn't a matter of killing it was a matter of protecting. How many lives were lost was still relevant in Ken's opinion. The Wookies on Kashyyyk knew the true value of lives. People were honored and remembered even by their more brutal kin. Ken respected the wookies for their reverence of nature and the value of their kin. In that way Ken hoped to save as many as he could...if he had the chance. This was war after all and even though he needed to protect himself as well. It was just another horror, and pain Ken would need to suppress. When Aria spoke up Ken opened his eyes and let his senses die down slightly. "We have our own reasons for being here. You don't need to apologize. Focus on being the hero you know you can be. Chaos, yet Harmony. Young Jedi." Ken commented with a reassuring smile. Hopefully he could steer Aria in the right direction with his own dedication to the code. "Trust your instincts, trust the force. Don't stray into panic." Ken stated further before he slid down his visor on his helmet and breathed in deeply and then breathed out preparing for his entry into real combat. As the door opened however Ken heard the noise drown out around him and he heard the screams and shouts of nearby soldiers. Ken prepared himself he let go of his panic and he let the force into him hardened himself. The battle sense pounded into him by his indomitable former master calmed him and let him see through the initial panic. The control, and primal instinct of the Wookies whom taught him as he ventured into the bottom of their forests with them hardened him. He grabbed his lightsaber and held it in his hand tightly. He didn't ignite it at first. However a shell nearby exploded and sent a lot of them flying. However Ken hunkered down and dig his heels into the dirt quickly. He remembered the kinrath down in the forests of Kashyyyk would jump on him and if he let them overwhelm him he'd be dead. The blast did send him on his back foot and nearly toppled him over despite his instincts. He rushed over to the others too make sure they were fine and then went to Aria Blair. "Aria! Aria calm yourself! Breath, and remain calm panic will get you and everyone else killed. I am with you lead the way. This is your battle and you need to lead it not me, and not anyone else here." Ken said firmly and loudly as he gripped Aria by the shoulder.
