Basisk is a miniature version of the same breed of snake that attacked Harry Potter in his second year in the chamber of secrets. It is a rare magical creature that is specifically breed for Slytherin Pure bloods who fancied themselves true heirs. Depending on the owner these creatures can be incredibly loyal and nice and dangerous and unpredictable. They usually grow to only be 2 feet long at full size and are identifiable by their often horned neck which precedes there large dome like heads. They are often deprived of their venom upon birth and altered to keep their poison sacs from ever growing back.
