Jake steps out of the bar, sighing. As he walks towards his home, the people in his way simply disappear, reappearing behind him, many of them confused. This soon leads to people avoiding his presence, sidestepping him as he approaches. Jake knows that the two men were unsuitable parents. They had no experience or skill in parenting, and had no idea what they were doing with the child. Furthermore, Dragonkin are rare, and in these areas, not very loved. With racism so stron, abuse wouldn't be the greatest threat to such a child, as trained slavers would descend upon her and attempt to capture her. A captured dragonkin, esspecially a mage, was a vital asset in war, and countries would be willing to pay thousans of gold coins to have on in their "patriotism academies" where the child would be trained from birth into a follower of the nation. Jake had tried to help, in his own way, but there was no doubt almost every major faction that heard of the child would place it's bets in the pool, and attempt to acquire it for itself. A child, after all, could still be brainwashed into a loyal servant.
