I think Fiddle was saying that there should be exceptions for those that can Return By Death. They can remember what happened, but other NPCs and people who can't return, don't remember - or lost the details of whoever died. It would keep things like the above scenario from being an issue.

But again, that does depend on you, GM-chan. I personally don't mind either one, but if the above scenario does happen then things could get quite...complicated, and complicated things/systems tend to be no end of problems in RPs from my experience.
