In practice this means that the game's gravity will act differently for him meaning that he can run up walls and even ceilings as if he was just walking on the ground. He still takes fall damage so its still possible for him to kill himself that way but he's gotten good enough to the point that by quickly alternating his gravity he can effectively make himself slowly fall to the ground without and fall damage.
