Within moments, the silence of the tension that was the group moving in on the Pokemon Center was broken by a blade landing on the tiling, creating a clanging noise. Rylen had managed to deflect the thrown knife, but it visibly cut his hand as he went to stop it, he had no idea why he did what he just did. He was actually a little ways off to get a breather, but as he walked back he saw this scene unfold, and stepped in immediately. "You want a challenge? I'll give you one then", he was the first to step up. His eyes had a new glare that his new friends had never seen. There was an irrational strength behind it. He recognizes this kind of situation... Of course, it was a bit different, and maybe more severe than poachers, but it looks like his Larvitar knew as well, and was the first to step forward. "If I win, you leave...", he said. He had a feeling they wouldn't simply leave, there were well over a dozen of them... He might have to battle all of them, but he's fought very strong trainers before. He held onto that confidence. That was also a Luxio there, a fair bit more leveled than his Larvitar, but he had a typing advantage. Still, he's seen many trainers have a way around those things, this may be no different. Who were they? He asked himself... What purpose did they have here? As he ran those questions in his head, he quickly came to one priority, to drive them out. If they insisted on hurting people, and by extension, perhaps Pokemon, then he only knew one thing, and that was to stop them.
