That's weird, there's usually a good  number of them at my local bookstore...hhhmm.

Anyway, good ideas so far all, looking forward to reading them.

Only thing I'd say to you, POO, is that it's unlikely he'd come from a Feral world - only because there's no reason for him to be selected as an Arbites, they're [i]urban[/i] police force after all AKA Hive Cities, Civilised Worlds etc, whereas Feral worlds are...well...feral.

Unless you mean he somehow got off-world, got recruited and pretty much hammered into a loyal servant of the Emperor, thus losing most of what made him feral in the first place?

If that's the case, then I'm all for it; I would suggest you go and read the wikia entry on the Arbites though, if you've not already, it has loads of info you may well need to know.
