Tyaethe's headlong charge didn't slow even as the sounds of carnage started up behind, ducking low under one enterprising swing as she came up to the next staircase and jumped down again. Unlike last time, with its bone-shaking collision with the wall, she attempted a fancier manoeuvre; the paladin thrust her sword into the ground at the last second and used the entire edifice as a pivot to continue the plunge down the second half of the stairs. The sight down here was more welcoming than the first floor but far from perfect. Though most of the guards had already headed upstairs and were doing a fine job of slowing the knights simply by providing bodies, a few stragglers were here and looked shaken by the sounds from above. Their fear wasn't enough to prevent an attack on an unarmoured and seemingly hopelessly outmatched child, however. Still, Tyaethe wasn't in the mood to engage and hopped briefly onto a man's spear before using the flat to smash him into the one obstacle between her and a clear run. Then she was off towards the bottom of the mausoleum and the presumed undead once again. The path was getting clearer as more and more of the gathered dust remained undisturbed and the path of the conspirators revealed itself. If those fighting above wanted to have a hope of catching up before her fight had finished, for better or worse... well, they'd have to pick up the pace.
