[@Polyphemus]I was also thinking that Miles and Maren have a sorta...relationship(not like...romantic)? Like their parents go to the same yatch club or whatever. So they get drug to the same parties and such and there being so few kids have had almost no choice but to hang out with each other or be bored to death by snooty adult. Maren's family wouldn't be as rich as his, but both of her parents are doctors and upper middle class. They'd be new money, but I also don't know how big a wealthy peer circle would be in a town like this....
