After the two joked around, it was only a matter of seconds for the shit to hit the fan. If the sharp cry didn't say the problem, the Walker was easily identifiable. She lifted her bow and cracked an arrow into the skull. She didn't go retrieve the arrow though, there were bigger concerns. Many thoughts began to run through her head. Should she run away now and leave Raymond to fend for himself? The man helped save her life, but it was survival out here. Should she bandage the wound? She saw bites before and watched people die from them, but perhaps years of this meant that survival odds were better? She didn't know. Raymond looked up at her and then down at his bite, and the recognition on his face said it all. She took a deep breath and took off her hoodie and took off her shirt. After a brief moment of embarrassment she put her hoodie back on and began carving her shirt into strands. She didn't like this chain of events, but if he had any hope for survival, it had to be done. "For the record, I don't know what I am doing and we need to do this quickly. I would find something to bite down on, your shirt or something, and we'll get this done." She didn't want to do it out in the open like this, but they had little choice. After she made her makeshift bandages, she motioned for Raymond to hand her his machete. After he did so, she took another deep breath and looked into his eyes one last time, as if to say she was sorry. She waited until he gave the all clear before she made the first cut. Brutal isn't the right word for what she was doing, but it fit. She continued to cut through skin and bone, hoping Raymond had the inner strength to hold out since they had no antibiotics or pain killers. She continued to "help" get his leg taken care of. When all was said and done she quickly took the strands and began wrapping them tightly around the leg to prevent further bleeding. Once that was done they could get going and find a safe shelter for a bit and fully take care of things, but they didn't have the luxury of time at this moment. She did the best she could wrapping up the wound before she stood up and helped Raymond to his feet, "I am sorry, scream in pain later, but we need to keep moving. When we find shelter I'll be able to better take care of it." She helped Raymond and put his arm over her shoulder and the two began walking, or limping, along.
