Ari listened and she nodded. "Drive in that direction." She listened more intently and when they were essentially stuck and couldn't move the car any longer she opened the door and followed Archie. She heard Malik approaching her and she put her finger to her mouth to keep him silent. She moved silently towards the side door of the house in front of them. She could see through the window and what she saw horrified her more than any other thing up til then. The house was being used as a 'science research facility,' in other words it was being used as a torture house in the name of science. She grabbed Archie by the collar as the baby stopped making any sounds at all and Ari ran to the car as fast as she could get there. Archie jumped in and Malik was already starting the car again. Backing out they continued down the road.

"Did you see what that was?" Her expression showed that she couldn't get the images out of her mind. She had seen several 'doctors of science' in there in the white coats and gloves and masks. There was no doctoring going on there though. She was breathing hard and she couldn't get the images of the baby out of her mind as the man injected it with something that obviously killed it.

How were they supposed to survive in this world? Was all that was left of humanity evil?
