The fight had ended quickly, but what bothered Justin was the blood pounding through his veins, the pulsating throbbing in his head. He was ready to dismiss it as an adrenaline rush, but when Cam mentioned feeling weird, he looked to her arms to find that her veins were pronounced, her relatively toned physique rippling with what seemed liked newly added muscle(or so it seemed to him). As the men dragged the bodies out of the arena, he noted that the same things were happening to him. "Cam, what on earth is going on with us?" His breath was growing shallow, but there was an electric feeling that was coursing through him, as if his muscles wanted to move as fast and as hard as possible. He wanted to talk about what was more than likely pumped into their systems, but Avery's announcement coupled with another door sliding open caught his attention. Snarls and growls were coming from beyond the darkness of the assumed hallway, Justin quickly scooping the two by four Cam had used earlier up from the ground with his right hand. He could feel Cam's icy grip on his arm, which for a flicker of a moment made him smile ever so slightly. The spark of joy was extinguished when, out of the recesses of the open passageway, came three large beasts that were covered in dark brown fur, their snouts coated in blood, teeth sharp and jagged. They bound in on four thick legs, ears perked, eyes staring directly at what they perceived as their new prey. "Bears..." He uttered a curse under his breath. "Cam, these things are almost unstoppable. I've ran into two of these things all my life and both times I ran as fast as I could. Let's do that now, huh?" He pointed at the open door where the men had come from. "We've gotta make a break for it. Let's go, now!" He sprinted forward, prompting the heavy metal doors to slide close ever so slowly. His strides grew longer, the scout slipping through the doors as they were closed halfway. Then they began to speed up. "NO!" He grabbed the closing edges of the doors and attempted to push them apart. At first, his efforts were in vain, the doors threatening to break his hands. But then...then the doors stopped. A horrific grating noise tore through the air as Justin screamed in effort, wedging the doors open just enough for Cam to squeeze through. That is, if she had made it already.
