Hazel glowered into the darkness. This was getting ridiculous. "I'll come with you." She stood up and went up the stairs. "I'd really rather not just be sitting around. Besides, I've got some quick reflexes. You saw." After getting out of earshot, Hazel added quietly, "Besides, the sass levels downstairs are Olympic level. I can't compete." She shined the flashlight and her phone down the darkened hallway. "Should we check all of the rooms in this hall again? I don't think it would make sense for him to run into another dark hallway if he's freaked out by the dark." Then again, she had no idea what kind of condition he had. They couldn't rule it out.
