Mark was busy searching through his pile of books, desperate to find the one he, and the tribe, so needed. Tossing the burned ones over his head, he began digging through the books lying all over the ground. The entire agriculture section, as well as a few sections nearby, had been thrown into complete disarray, all thanks to a certain someone not being careful with their fighting. Sighing, Mark sat down as he surveyed the damage before him. Most of the books could be salvaged, they just needed a new cover or two, and they could easily be reorganized with some "willing" help. The ones that were damaged, were so heavily; black crusty remains of an already obscenely old collection. It would take some time to repair the and recover the materials lost. For all Mark knew, the ones that burned could have been the last copy around. The thought of losing such a vital piece of knowledge frustrated Mark and he punched a nearby bookcase, sending out his TK across it. Thanks to that, the remaining books on the shelf toppled over and landed with various thuds. One book landed near his feet as he was starting to pick up the ones he lobbed. Grabbing it, he proceeded to dump it with the rest of the useless materials, before noticing something on the cover. Wiping away the ash and soot that came from it's fallen brothers, Mark read that title. "Grass and Forage Science Volume 67: Mountainous regions?" As Mark read out the title, his eyes grew wide. This was the book he was looking for! It was right here, in his hand! A little damaged, sure, but it was there! Mark threw his arms out and uttered a boisterous "Yes!" before heading out of his room. He'd be able to save the tribe! As he was running to inform Kyle, Mark noticed something happening by the now ruined crops. A boy was lifting one of the rock to clear out of the field and accidentally triggered a landslide. As Mark watched, he saw that the slide was heading towards a small child. Eyes widening, Mark made a dash for the girl, trying to get her before she was swallowed by the slide. Suddenly, right as he was about to catch up, a forcefield appeared before the baby, protecting it. Stopping and taking a look around, Mark saw Ranna concentrating on the baby, obviously using her powers to protect it. The baby was grabbed by her teary mother who began to thank Ranna. Mark's eyes narrowed at Ranna as she was being praised by the mother's family. He didn't trust her, at least not yet. It seemed a bit convenient for her to show up right as the crops failed to offer advice, then suddenly have the solution to the problem. Sure, Kyle trusted her, but he had a tendency to react with his gut, not his head. She'll definitely need to be watched later., Mark thought.
