[@Sep]  Cloaking wouldn't work anyway as the ship's sensors would read the energy readings anyway. I more meant of like a small ship that's barely seeable on the scanners. As in the entire ship would be able to shut down except for life support. Meaning that most aliens would think that this ship could be a peace of debris  for all they know.
