I've always had two "summer songs" and they are Tightrope by Walk The Moon and the song that I actually chose for this prompt - Get Me Golden by Terraplane Suns. [s]I swear I have some obsession with the color gold lately.[/s] Anyway, I actually chose this song over Tightrope simply because I like it better and I feel like it's less well known. As I associate it with summer? 

Well, my sister bought Saints Rows 4 for her Xbox 360 about two years ago and during the summer of that year, I found myself frequently playing it. While I never actually beat the (extremely short) game, I spent most of the season running around the game, stirring up trouble and collecting items. And this song ties into Saints Rows how? Well, it's part of the soundtrack for the game and is probably my favorite off of the soundtrack choice if I'm being honest.

Although this song is technically associated with one of the worst summers of my life, I still love it. It's a very upbeat song and it still fills me with a certain sense of warmth that is definitely reminiscent of summer.
