As for his classification, he would be a Senior (who will be 18 that year) or Junior (who turned 17 that year). 


If you would be open to getting him a girlfriend eventually I'd volunteer my Alba, as their histories have similarities. It would also give her a reason to stay IC lol. If not, that's okay too. :)
