I am pretty sure it has to do with moving mass from other parts of his body to that limb, and which causes him to shrink down into that smaller form after he does. Also, she can go into a hyperdrive after receiving a lot of damage ((she is doing so now in the rp and is pelting creed with strikes.)) not to mention she can also change the size of her limbs and such like that, but it has a draw back for her.
