Is there no way we can reach a compromise here? 
Personally I loved Stephanie and was sad to see her character axed before she made it as far as the IC but, if thats the general consensus, I go with whatever the GM says (YES BOSS!!!). 

Yes, RP is collaborative, but characters are very individual and personal to a person so sometimes it is difficult to shape the character the way you want to if its too tied up with another. Since Drew lost Steph, why not give a little lee-way on how Reed is played and you try adapt your Sue a little maybe? As you say, its give and take, its collaborative, so maybe cut Drew a little slack ... IRL stress is ... stressy and not fun, RP is meant to be a relaxing hobby and its not much fun to play characters you aren't invested in.

I'm not the GM though, just trying to be a peaceful conciliator here, at the end of the day, its Ded's call what chars stay and which goes but why don't we all meet in the middle and all get to play the characters we want, largely in the fashion that we want to play them huh?
