[b]Current Ruler:[/b] Lord Protector Lawrence Trelis, Master of Trade. Though actually in Kaidu, the highest authority is Director Francis Burgham.

[b]Faction Description:[/b] The  was one of the first foreign powers to arrive in Kaidu, coming from the nation of Edoniras. The main aim of the Company is the establishment, and monopolisation, of Kaidu as an economic power through goods not available elsewhere. Furthermore the promotion of positive diplomatic action is certainly pursued. However, the company is separate to the government of Edoniras and so is not monitored as such, as well as keeping a lion's share of the profits to itself, spending only a little on maintaining the lease of exclusive rights at home.

The Company finds strength, firstly, in its technology. Kaidu works with tools and equipment many many years behind that of Edoniras, and as such are far more effective at everything they do. However, on the short, they lack numbers massively. For the people of Kaidu, it is their homeland and they all live here, the Company has only what can be shipped across the seas, finding it increasingly difficult to emply directly from the natives. Something which is another issue, the fact that they have very little in the way of governed land. The Company maintains trading houses in every clan and house (Where viable) as well as it's own ports and one large post outside of any major clan influence. But really, they have no borders to themselves. They make up for this with their mastery of the seas. The Company has sailed as long as it has existed, and their superior ships, along with superior deck hands, mean they are undisputed as the finest rulers of the waves. Even if they are forced to share those waves with others.

[b]Territory Description:[/b] WIP

[b]Military Forces:[/b] The standing forces of the Company are in the hands of the Director, who in turn normally defers to a Colonel they have chosen to act as a military advisor. The standing army of the Company is relatively small compared to that of the clans of Kaidu, but they are well drilled and armed. Flintlock rifles, with detachable bayonets are the standard armament, with a padded leather uniform and a small flintlock pistol as a last resort. A small contingent of cavalry are also maintained as well as cannons. However the cavalry are used mainly as an honour guard or for hiring out. And the cannons are so cumbersome they are only installed in permanent locations, very few are transported. 

The Company's navy is exemplary. A vast array of different sized trading ships criss-cross the waterways in a very lucrative trade. Meanwhile gunships patrol harbours, on the lookout for piracy, and a flotilla of smaller vessels, and a number of battleships remains moored at New Eden.
