She keeps her auburn hair shoulder length, tucked into her helmet when in her gear. A small bust size lends itself to her tomboyish appearance. Most notable are her two prosthetic arms, which no attempts are made to cover, though finished in matte black. Name: Maddox, Luciel S. Gender: Female Age: 21 Rank: Private Height: 5' 11" Weight: 146 (W/O Prosthetics) 176 (W/ Prosthetics) Specialization: CQC/Hand to Hand Callsign: Hanzer Psychological Analysis: Luciel had always been an upbeat and enthusiastic girl, able to find an aspect of fun in almost anything. This has allowed her to push through multiple hardships where she would have otherwise quit from physical or mental exhaustion. Along with this she enjoys being friendly with others, often forming strong bonds with those she spends extended amounts of time with. Her usually foul mouth may disguise the fact, however Luciel is generally a kind and pleasant person. The loss of her arms has not changed any of this, if anything it has strengthened her resolve. Luciel is proud of the lives her sacrifice helped to save, and she would gladly give another limbs to save a comrade. Note: Luciel suffers from the syndrome known as "Phantom Pain". Her brain occasionally perceives her limbs as still being attached, and as a result Luciel is prone to experiencing varying degrees of pain in her arms, despite them being prosthetic. Military Background: Born on Reach to a family of predominantly Ukrainian though heavily mixed European origin, with extensive military history, Luciel had wanted to join the UNSC Marine Corps for as long as she could remember. Starting at a young age she began training her mind and body, paying close attention to her academics while strengthening her muscles through gymnastics. Despite enjoying this normal life, Luciel's resolve to join the UNSC was unwavering. At the age of eighteen she enlisted as a recruit in the Marines, passing the physical and mental examinations without any difficulty. It wasn't long before she was being sent on missions, proving her worth to her squad quickly against insurrectionists, despite her lack of combat experience. Two years passed and Luciel had been promoted to Private, and was sent to an outer rim colony to quell the uprising militia forces. During the evacuation of an occupied building, a violent explosion occurred which collapsed the ceiling, blocking the exit for civilians as well as her squad. Luciel managed to lift enough debris for an escape, though a second explosion dropped further rubble before Luciel managed to get out from underneath. When she awoke, Luciel was being transported on a stretcher. She looked down at her body, but upon noticing her mangled arms immediately lost consciousness. The next time her eyes opened she laid in a military hospital, x-rays of various body sections hanging on the wall. Numerous broken bones could be seen, though most appeared to have been treated. Another look at her arms revealed that not everything had been able to be saved. The limbs had been amputated, leaving only bandaged shoulders. Her father, a Major Grade 2 at the time, managed to call in a few favors, resulting in Luciel being offered a pair of UNSC prosthetic arms. She accepted the arms without hesitation, diving headlong into rehabilitation after recovering enough from the surgery. Approximately six months later Luciel was ready to be of service once more. Despite the damage to her body previously, Luciel was enthusiastic to finally be deployed again. She had made it through a hardship her family had never had to endure before, which sparked an idea in her mind. In what other ways would she be able to put herself to the test, in what ways could she surpass her ancestors? Luciel believed the ODST branch of the Marines was just the thing, and volunteered herself to be recruited in. The time came when she was called upon to take the grueling tests of entry into the ODST, and Luciel made it through by the skin of her teeth. Rejoicing at the news, Luciel was sent off for training, eager the whole time to see what her new squad would be like.
