He is generally in simple and comfortable outfits, and doesn't particularly have much variation between those outfits. He isn't one to go out of his way and look particularly dolled up for the occasion, and he's quite content to put on the same shirt from the day before as opposed to getting a new one. In the cold, he generally wears his old army jacket, but otherwise dresses in simple, civilian clothing. He has a good sense of humour and strives in most interactions to make those he is with laugh, as something of a comedian, he manages to find something to laugh about in almost any situation. Harry does, however, swear like a sailor - a result of his military life, he has next to no censor and will spout off expletive after expletive at the drop of a hat. Raised to be a proper gentleman, Harry is particularly polite and helpful towards members of the opposite sex, and will generally strive to help women in any way he is able. Again an offset of his military life, Harry can be particularly blunt and straight-forward at times, not particularly caring as to whether he may offend someone or not when bringing up an issue or problem. Between his musical, literary and artistic talents, Harry is an incredibly creative man who strives to take part in any form of the arts, while dedicating most of his time to literary pursuits. Behind his generally happy exterior however, a great deal of regret and sorrow lingers within Harry, which is usually not witnessed by those around him, unless they are particularly close. He is also particularly interested in absorbing much of the culture and history which he had little chance to enjoy the last time he had been in Egypt. Life Before You Moved To Cairo: Born to a particularly well-off family in Gloucester, Harold Alexander Walsh was graced with a relative abundance of schooling from a young age. Learning to read, write and even hunt before he was a teenager, Harry had a particularly sheltered life at home, away from any of the troubles of the world or struggles. His parents were particularly proud of the path he was on throughout most of his young life, a budding artist, it was their hope that he would go off to university and eventually make a name for himself, unfortunately, that was not to be. At the age of seventeen, Harry signed up with the British Expeditionary Forces to fight in the Great War, falsifying his enlistment papers considering he was under the age of eighteen. Signing up with the cavalry, Harry was assigned to the 2nd South Western Mounted Brigade and sent off to training in Southern England. He completed his training and in late 1915 was sent to Egypt to fight the Ottomans. Harry spent much of the war in Egypt and the Sinai Desert, being wounded twice, once by shrapnel and once by Mustard Gas, he was eventually awarded the Military Cross for Valour, after leading a charge against an Ottoman trench. Harry managed to live through the war, being sent to the Western front in 1918 to help break through the last of the German defenses. Returning home when so many of his local friends had not, he struggled to readjust to civilian life. Eventually, he learned the best way to cope with his stress and 'battle fatigue' as doctors referred to it was through the arts, via music, writing and drawing, he began to cope better with his stress. Eventually, he came up with the idea of writing a memoir of his war experience, setting out to the battlefields he fought at for further inspiration. Life Since You Moved To Cairo: Harry has spent time moving back and forth from the city of Cairo itself and the outlying battlefields and war graves, sketching the areas he's fought at and jotting down notes of memories as they come to him. He's enjoyed much of the Egyptian night life, frequenting a few local bars and night-markets, while visiting the local libraries and museums from time to time during the day.
