Handsome. It doesn’t matter who you ask, it is almost universally agreed among Clay’s peers that he is one incredibly handsome man. Clayton generally keeps his hair shaved close to the scalp with a matching stubble-length goatee. A straight white smile shines in lovely contrast with his warm, mocha complexion. Clay is of African American and Filipino descent, the latter being mostly evident in his eyes, which sit below perfectly maintained eyebrows. 

Having done a decent amount of modeling as a child and teenager, Clayton mastered [i]the gaze[/i], or ‘smeyes’, as Tyra Banks coined it, at an early age. Even when engaging in everyday conversations, Clay’s posture and expressions are always camera ready and captivating. Clay’s clothing choices are simple, yet fashionable. He wears dark-wash jeans and opts for plain, solid colored t-shirts that are [i]just[/i]  tight enough to display all of his hard work. In the colder months he adds equally fitted blazers, sports coats, and leather jackets into the mix. Through the combination of a strict, healthy diet and a balanced workout regime, Clayton has a finely-tuned muscular physique. His sculpted form is not only aesthetically pleasing, but useful and sometimes necessary in his line of work.

Clayton is a people person, simply put. The man could and would chat up a pole if there wasn’t another person around to talk to. Clay is an extrovert in every sense of the word, preferring to keep conversation flowing even if, [i]especially if[/i], it ends up revolving around him. If there is an awkward silence, he will fill it. When walking through or standing in a room, he tends to stick to the center of it. If he sees a group of people chatting or hears of a social event, he will almost always join in.

Though Clay may be a conversational commander, it never comes off as bragging or offensive in any way. His confident smile is contagious, and he seeks to make everyone feel included in a group by figuring out what they like and starting up a conversation about that. If other people don’t have anything to add, Clay is more than happy to talk about topics that he likes and is passionate about. 

For the most part, Clay is a very likeable man - those who would say otherwise are the ones that have seen Clay’s ugly side. He struggles with honesty, the white lies of his childhood grew and bled into his adult life in much more toxic ways. This dishonest nature has led to the downfall of many of Clayton’s intimate relationships, which goes hand-in-hand with Clay’s other major struggle: commitment. Whether it be a relationship, a job, or a house… Clayton bores easily. He is very aware of his noncommittal ways and is actively trying to combat them. Clayton dreams of meeting [i]the one[/i], and settling down with them, perhaps even raising a family, but he almost always runs from or ruins any chances at reaching this goal. Clay hopes that a fresh start at Lakewood Summit will be enough to make an honest man of him.

Clayton was born to a wealthy Southern Californian couple on July 9th, 1980. Clay’s father, Elijah, was a best-selling romance novelist while his mother, Chesa, was primarily a model, but also a small-time television actress, featuring mostly in daytime dramas. Given his parents’ professions, Clayton and his twin sister, Claire, grew up wanting for nothing. They attended private school together and in the 3rd grade, Chesa used her connections to kick off the children’s own modeling careers.

Modeling wasn’t really proposed as an option, but both the Bennett children enjoyed it none-the-less. Being a closeted homosexual up until college, modeling gave Clayton the confidence that he needed to thrive in school, despite the secret that he kept hidden deep inside. Clayton obviously didn’t have too many girlfriends, but his good looks, charismatic charm, and position as halfback on the football team netted him popularity in high school. Claire, however, was less fortunate. She had plenty of boyfriends and popularity, of course, but the pressures of the modeling industry led to her developing an eating disorder. 

Claire spent the majority of her senior year of high school being treated at an inpatient care facility for anorexia nervosa and anxiety disorder. Seeing the negative effects that the beauty industry had had on his twin sister urged Clayton to quit modeling before graduating high school. Even when Claire was released and recovering, Clay never looked back to modeling. He had instead been accepted at San Diego State University’s School of Exercise and Nutritional Sciences, where he eventually earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis on a fitness specialist career track.

It was during his time at SDSU that Clayton finally felt comfortable enough to come out to both his family and friends. Elijah wasn’t warm and receptive about the news that his son preferred men, in fact he became much more cold and distant after the news, but his mother was far more accepting, being that the model had a few GBFs herself. Claire had given him the biggest hug and said that she had always known, twin ESP and all, and that it never made her love him any less. Once out, Clay had a new boyfriend almost every year in college, but none of them really stuck for the long term.

When Clayton graduated with his bachelor’s degree, Chesa was able to use her acting connections to get Clay’s foot in the door in Hollywood. Clayton had no interest in acting, he instead put his degree to use by becoming both a personal trainer and bodyguard-for-hire for the rich and famous. He was paid handsomely to stand by in tailored suits and look appropriately brutish and menacing whilst guarding his primarily young, female clientele. 

In ten years time, Clayton had grown his private business into a significant source of wealth. He had made a name for himself and rubbed elbows with the right people in order to climb in social status. In 2013, Clay became the personal trainer of the indie movie movie star heartthrob, Jason Hayes. Jason was Clay’s highest profile client to-date and, over the first few months of their relationship, the lines between business and pleasure had been crossed. Oh, there was pleasure, and there was [i]lots[/i] of it. Jason was openly and proudly bisexual, so their romantic relationship quickly became a public one. 

The press loved the couple, constantly watching and snapshotting their outings together, including Jason’s romantic proposal to Clayton in Cancun. It was the picture perfect moment… and the picture perfect life, or so it seemed. Jason doted on his fiance, they even moved in together in Hayes’ Beverly Hills mansion during their year-long engagement. 

Jason often had to leave the state or the country whilst filming, which left Clayton with a lot of time to himself - a lot of time to make mistakes. When Jay wasn’t wrapped up in work, he was frenzied with wedding plans. The publicity and commitment caused Clay to grow flakey - not that he would ever show that in his photo-ready demeanor. For someone with no interest in acting, he was certainly quite good at it. It was during one of Jason’s many filming excursions that Clay had made his first mistake - Bradley French. Clayton continued to make this mistake again and again, very careful to keep the affair out of the public eye. As it turns out, it is much easier to dodge the paparazzi than it is to keep the prying eyes of your fiance in the dark. 

When Jason learned of the affair, he immediately called off the engagement. Clayton moved out of their Beverly Hills home the next week with the promise that neither of them would talk about what happened. Too much of their personal lives had already been made public, this did not need to be. All of this happened three months ago. To this day, there has been no official statement on the reason for their separation. There are rumors, but none from significant sources. Clay has since cut ties with Bradley and everyone else close to the situation. The deal on his new home in Lakewood Summit closed just last week, and Clayton is currently in the process of moving in. Clay is hoping to let sleeping dogs lie and have a fresh start in the pleasant suburbia that is Lakewood Summit.

Clayton is a personal trainer and a celebrity bodyguard for hire. Personal training is the career that Clay is much more passionate about, and it is also the one that takes up the majority of his time and brings in a steady stream of income. The bodyguard job is a bit less consistent. When a foreign or young celebrity comes into town that requires accompaniment in addition to or in the absence of their own security, Clayton is one of the names in the business that they hire for the duration of their stay. Clay also is hired for back-up security on high profile celebrity events. These jobs and placements tend to bring in a lot of money, but are inconsistent and infrequent in the grand scheme of things.

As a member, he will be participating in the usual club sporting activities, namely tennis and golf. }}

If there is an open invite social event or outing, he will join in if he is able. Once Clay is done unpacking some of these boxes, he hope to make the rounds and gain a new group of friends. Socializing in this new location full of wealthy beautiful people is sure to net him a few new PT clients as well. }}

[b]Claire[/b] – [i]sister[/i] – The twin bond never really goes away. Although their lives have lead them to different places and paths, Clayton and Claire are still very close and call each other at least once a week. Moving to Lakewood Summit was actually Claire’s suggestion after hearing about the latest scandal.

[b]Chesa[/b] – [i]mother[/i] – Clay get along with his mother well enough. Although Clay recognizes that she can be controlling and naive, she raised him and his sister in as loving and supportive of a way that she knew how. Chesa and Clay talk less often than he does with his sister, sometimes only on a monthly basis.

[b]Elijah[/b] – [i]father[/i] – Clayton’s relationship with his father is the most strained of the three. Although the man is a romance author, he has never been a warm and loving father. He doted on his wife, provided for his children, and disown his son for his gayness. As far as their father-son relationship is concerned, it could have been much worse, but it should have been better, in Clay’s opinion.
