However while he was young, his parents were taken advantage of in an insurance fraud leaving the once upper middle class family nearly broke and dependent on social insurance as everything Sebastian's parents worked so hard for was taken away from them. Due to being poor, Sebastian never had the nicest belongings and often became the target of teasing, this only worsened as his abilities began to develop during puberty. Due to his Hyper-Active attention span, Sebastian was teased for being a 'Space Cadet', his head never in the game due to constantly being distracted. 

His parents realized there was something wrong but due to being unaware of the true affliction ailing their son had his misdiagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, simply known as ADHD. Encouraged to participate in as many physical activities as he can, Sebastian was forced to join sports team after sports team, only reluctantly giving them a chance to make his parents happy. Knowing his parents couldn't afford the fees to keep him in sports, Sebastian evolved into something of a class clown and a practical joker. Getting kicked off every sports team, Sebastian discovered his gift one day after taking a joke too far and being chased by several older team members. Although they believed the boy had hid from them, in reality Sebastian had run faster than their eyes could track. Empowered with this new revelation, Sebastian began to stand up against not only his own bullies but also any he saw in the halls of Mather Memorial High School. Able to avoid detection, Sebastian began to turn the odds for the underprivileged.[/i][/indent][/indent]

This Hyper-Speed allows him to move faster than the human eye can track for short bursts and run at speeds capable of easily outpacing even the most high end automobiles for a longer distance. In order to keep up with his body, Sebastian's mind is able to read, interpret and process at a higher speed allowing him to perceive the world far more quickly than his peers. His reflexes react much faster than a normal human, having barely any lag or dead time before he reacts to the world around him. His metabolism likewise is also much faster, dissolving large amounts of food in less than an hour leaving Sebastian in nearly a perpetual state of hunger. Due to this wounds close and heal much faster but Sebastian also is aging at an accelerated rate.[/i]
