Many considered me dead. But instead, I had simply collapsed the space around me on the brink of death and entered Outside. Don't believe I did anything clever; it was involuntary. But when I was there, I automatically began the true process to achieve perfection—I began to soak up the material Outside is made of and incorporated it into my form.
