ah in case of my char it was very simple. She did not knew she was a fae(still doens't actually) and told her kelpie lover at the time her name cuz she loved him. She does feel like she has to obey his demands that is why she is runnign around the fae realm insearch for him, seeing as that is what he wanted her to do.
